MerchantCircle is a directory and social network for local businesses.  Its a great tool to use to get more exposure to your business and generate customer leads.  It has a lot of free and low cost features that allow businesses to get there name out.  However, many businesses are not utilizing this website at all or to the fullest extent possible.

Today we are going to cover how to list your business on MerchantCircle and optimize it as much as possible.  We have created a couple of videos showing how to do this and also some notes for you to follow.

The first step is to simply get your listing setup by going to MerchantCircle.com and creating an account.  We are assuming you have already done this but if you have not, go ahead and take that step.

Next we are going to show you how to create a full profile to really showcase your business.  The video below outlines what to do.

Now that we have an overview of how to setup an optimized business listing, we will cover exactly how to do it.  In this video we will also cover building out your network and how to take advantage of some free advertising.

Did you optimize you listing?  If so, great work!  Now onto the final step – building out the gallery to showcase your business.

This next video shows you where to upload images and how to edit the Title, Description and Tags.  Professional titles and full descriptions help to build credibility with potential customers.  Completing the tags helps MerchantCircle and Google send you more traffic to the listing.
